Ana María Pérez Gómez

As a multilingual lawyer, I develop my practice at the intersection of law, innovation, and international development. I support companies in their international expansion projects, integrating law as a tool at the service of their growth. My approach, based on the economic analysis of law, allows me to act as a strategic partner, aligned with business objectives and the effective management of legal risk.

My career began at the dawn of the internet and e-commerce, a context that shaped my enduring interest in technology, innovation, and international affairs. Since then, my journey has evolved in tandem with digital transformations.

My interest in cross-border issues was established during my studies in Colombia and further consolidated during my LL.M. in Law & Economics (Utrecht, 2003). This dual approach allows me to offer legally sound and economically relevant solutions.

My passion for technology led me to a Master's in Intellectual Property in Nantes (2005), followed by in-depth research on the economic stakes of copyright law (USA, UK, Germany, France) at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich (2006–2009), culminating in a dual PhD (Nantes / LMU Munich, 2012).

In response to recent technological shifts and the rise of generative AI, I expanded my skills with a DPO training (2023) and a Diploma in Cybersecurity (EFB, 2025). I have also strengthened my strategic understanding of AI through advanced programs at MIT (AI Adoption), Stanford Law School (AI Strategy for Legal Leaders), and the IAPP AIGP certification dedicated to Artificial Intelligence Governance.

I also dedicate part of my time to training my clients' teams and teaching at the Master's level in intellectual property, artificial intelligence, data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance, driven by the belief that knowledge should be shared to inspire future generations of lawyers and business leaders.
